Fox new drama series "Empire" starring Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard has been doing well since it's premiere in January. It has become one of the hottest shows this year thus far.

Quincy Brown, Diddy's adopted son was set to play in the series but thanks to the Bad Boy producer the viewers won't get a chance to see him, at least not in the first season.

According to Page Six, sources have reported that Quincy was guaranteed a role on the show, but Diddy flipped out when he learned that his son, a budding recording artist, would have to sign over a portion of his music rights to Fox.

Source have reported that Diddy kicked up a huge stink and called all the top brass at 20th Century Fox TV to get them to change their rules over music rights,” but he didn’t get his way. “He said there was no way his son was signing over his intellectual property. So he banned him from the show.”

Quincy who is the son of singer Al B. Sure and Diddy's ex Kim Porter recently released his first single "Friend First".

"Empire" producer Lee Daniels says he is excited about having the 23-year-old on the show but that's only if Diddy can see it for what it's worth.
